Women’s Leadership for Social Transformation: Fundación Quintana Nominated for the Inclusión 2025 Awards

Fundación Quintana, the Colombian subsidiary of the Sodhi Foundation, has been nominated in the “social or educational inclusion” category of the Inclusión 2025 Awards by Comfenalco Antioquia, thanks to its Women Entrepreneurs Network Program (Programa Mujeres Emprenden en Red)  . This initiative plays a crucial role in the empowerment of rural women in the Northeastern Antioquea, integrating female leadership, economic autonomy, and social inclusion through a territorial and intersectional lens.

Women Transforming Their Communities

The Women Entrepreneurs Network Program supports the creation and strengthening of women-led community networks that drive productive ventures and foster social transformation. Currently, the program operates through two key networks:

🔸 Rednacer para la Equidad – Segovia

A network with 17 years of experience, comprising 61 women who lead 15 business initiatives and 2 social groups formed by community mothers and female leaders. Their goal is clear: to positively influence their territory through collective organization and solidarity.

🔸 Empremujeres – Remedios

A newly formed network established in 2024, made up of 18 women leading 14 business ventures with vision, strength, and community commitment. Despite its recent origin, the group shows a transformative energy capable of reshaping local economic dynamics.

Real Inclusion, Not Symbolic

The program goes beyond entrepreneurship by striving to build genuine, sustainable social inclusion with an intersectional approach, recognizing the multiple inequalities rural women face. Through technical and psychosocial support, it promotes deep transformation rooted in the voice, actions, and emotional journeys of each woman.

This nomination is a testament to the impact of a model that shows when women gain access to opportunities, support networks, and proper training, they become key agents in community development.

A Commitment to Sustainable Empowerment

The Sodhi Foundation celebrates and supports this nomination as a reflection of the tangible impact generated through collaborative work with women from the Northeastern Antioquea. Initiatives like Mujeres Emprenden en Red reaffirm our commitment to economic autonomy, social inclusion, and female leadership as core pillars of long-lasting and structural transformation.
