Sodhi Foundation Supports Guitamboreros Artistic Training Program
The Sodhi Foundation is proud to support the Guitamboreros Artistic and Cultural Training Program, led by our affiliate Fundación Quintana in the rural area of El Aporriado, located in the municipality of Segovia, Antioquia.
The program’s recent fair brought together 35 boys and girls from the El Aporriado Rural Educational Institution and students from the nearby village of La Cianurada. This initiative highlights the foundation’s commitment to educational inclusion and equitable access to cultural opportunities in rural communities.
Celebrating Children’s Creativity and Holistic Development
During the event, participants showcased their talents across various artistic disciplines, including string instruments, recorder, puppetry, percussion, dance, and visual arts. The Guitamboreros program aims to enhance children’s holistic development by providing platforms for artistic expression and talent recognition.
Impact on Rural Communities
This program reflects the Sodhi Foundation’s strategy of supporting initiatives that create positive change in rural communities, fostering social cohesion and cultural development through the active participation of children in meaningful artistic experiences.
