Fostering Child Development in Colombia

Sodhi Foundation, through its subsidiary Fundación Quintana, is spearheading the “Play to Grow” initiative, a strategic project designed to foster child development and participation in sports for children within Colombia’s rural communities. This initiative underscores the foundation’s commitment to the well-being and empowerment of rural childhood.

Within the framework of “Play to Grow,” significant investment has been made in infrastructure and resources. This includes the provision of uniforms and sports equipment, as well as structural improvements in the El Aporriado and La Cianurada villages. Furthermore, the foundation ensures the remuneration of specialized instructors, guaranteeing professional guidance for the child development of the participants. This program stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between Fundación Quintana, the El Aporriado Rural Educational Center, and local Community Action Boards.
