Sodhi Foundation Promotes Women’s Training in Technical Fields
The Sodhi Foundation, through its subsidiary Fundación Quintana, is proud to announce the recent graduation of eight brave women as Mineral Processing Technicians within the framework of the SOS Grande Mujer project. This program represents a strategic commitment to decent employment and equal opportunities for women in Remedios and Segovia, Colombia.
The SOS Grande Mujer project directly addresses gender-based violence, providing participants with a solid personal and professional training and transformation process. The culmination of this process not only grants them a technical degree but also empowers them to reclaim their voice and dignity, promoting their full participation in the local economy. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of a comprehensive approach to social development.

The success of SOS Grande Mujer is the result of strategic collaboration with key entities such as SENA, the Municipal Mayoral Offices of Remedios and Segovia, the Justice Houses, the Family Commissaries, and the Gender Link. These alliances are fundamental for the implementation of initiatives that promote equality and sustainable social change, demonstrating the impact of inter-institutional synergy in improving the living conditions of communities.

The SOS Grande Mujer project is framed within adherence to legal frameworks such as Decree 2733 of 2012 and Law 1257 of 2008, which guarantee the protection of women’s rights.
