Sodhi Foundation’s Educational Strengthening Programin Colombia

Sodhi Foundation, through its subsidiary Fundación Quintana, has implemented a strategic extracurricular academic support  program in the municipality of Remedios, Antioquia, Colombia. This initiative reflects with the foundation’s commitment to promoting education in Remedios, Antioquia, as a fundamental pillar for social transformation and sustainable community development.

As it approaches its third year, the program has offered instruction in mathematics, Spanish, and English to over 100 children from the Santa Isabel district and the Los Lagos village. The use of the Kumon Methodology, an internationally recognized learning system, ensures beneficiaries receive high-quality education, on par with urban standards, entirely free of charge. This approach is essential for fostering child development in rural educational contexts.

Fostering Continuous Learning and Autonomy

The primary objective of this educational project is to cultivate continuous learning, autonomy, and and self-confidence among participants. Sodhi Foundation believes that investing in human capital from an early age is essential for generating a positive and lasting impact on communities. Results to date demonstrate a significant improvement in the academic and personal competencies of the children involved.
