Talent, Discipline, and Transformation: Fundación Quintana Supports Female Boxing in Northeast Antioquia
Promoting Sports as a Catalyst for Youth Development and Equity
Demonstrating a strong commitment to rural youth and emerging athletic talent, Fundación Quintana—the Colombian subsidiary of the Sodhi Foundation—has signed its first two sports sponsorship agreements. This milestone marks a strategic move to support female boxing as a platform for social transformation in Northeast Antioquia.
Two Champions Exemplifying Dedication and Excellence
The first athletes to benefit from this sponsorship are two outstanding young boxers who have already made their mark on Colombia’s national sports scene:
Dayana Espinosa Betancur (15 years old)
- Multiple national and interscholastic champion from 2022 to 2024.
- Member of Colombia’s cadet team for the 2023 Continental Championship.
- Seven-time interleague champion.
Nicol Dahina Durango Quiceno (17 years old)
- 2024 national junior champion.
- Best female boxer in Colombia’s 2024 cadet division.
- Selected for the Colombian team at continental and Bolivarian Games.
These athletes are not only medal winners but also symbols of perseverance and empowerment. Their journeys inspire others and prove that, especially in rural areas, sports can be a powerful force for gender equity and community development.
Investing in Dreams, Building the Future
The Sodhi Foundation celebrates this initiative as a tangible reflection of its commitment to nurturing local talent. By supporting female boxing and rural youth, we aim to drive meaningful and lasting transformation that starts in the ring and resonates throughout society.
This is just the beginning. We remain dedicated to making sports a true force for hope and progress.
